With warehouses in both Decatur and Athens, TN, their range today also includes flail mowers, box blades, pallet forks, and forestry mulchers. IronCraft Flex-Wing Rotary Cutters: 2515, 3515, and 3520 Models

2515 Series: Medium-Duty 15' Flex-Wing Cutter

The 2515 Series is designed for medium-duty applications at easy-to-afford prices, requiring a minimum of 50 PTO horsepower. It features a 15-foot cutting width and can handle brush up to 2.5 inches in diameter with dual free swinging blades on each spindle. A 10 ga smooth-top deck, spring suspension, oversized 190 hp gearboxes, slip clutch, and single row chains come as standard; optional aircraft or laminate tires can be set up in either 4 or 6 wheel configurations, giving you the flexibility to handle almost any terrain. Standard safety features also include driveline shields, clutch shields, a safety tow chain, heavy duty ASAE CAT 6 main PTO shaft, and ASAE CAT 4 wing drive PTO shafts.

3515 Series: Heavy-Duty 15' Flex-Wing Cutter

The 3515 Series was created with even more demanding tasks in mind, requiring a tractor with at least 60 PTO horsepower. It maintains the 15-foot cutting width but increases the cutting capacity to 3.5 inches in diameter with the same proven dual free-swinging blades on each of the three spindles. Rugged deck rings and upgraded heavier duty dual spring suspension make driving over thick vines, downed limbs, and overgrown fields easier, with a swivel pivot self-leveling hitch for improved maneuverability. The same oversized gearboxes and safety chains on the 2515 are also used on the 3515, with the durable laminated tires or high speed aircraft tires as an available option.

3520 Series: Heavy-Duty 20' Flex-Wing Cutter

All-new as of 2024, the 3520 Series was requested across the nation after the success of the 3515 and 2515 models, created to require minimal horsepower for a 20' swath on the same proven frame. Requiring at least 80 PTO horsepower, it boasts a 20' cutting width with a 4' diameter cutting capacity thanks to the 275 hp main gearbox and 225 hp side gearboxes. Suspension is similar to the 3515 with dual springs on the center tailwheel assembly, but with the addition of springs on each wing wheel assembly as well.

A 10-gauge center deck and 7-gauge wing decks provide improved balance when working on slopes, making it a great choice for maintaining utility right-of-ways, airports, and large facilities. Recent improvements include its hydraulically adjustable 2" to 15" working height, rebalanced eight tire layout, 2.6" blade overlap for cleaner cuts, and a 22 degrees down to 100 degrees up wing flex.

Maintenance

When getting ready for season or starting the day, a few maintenance practices can extend the life of your flex-wing mower and improve the performance of your finished cut. When in doubt, reference your Ironcraft owner's manual, or give us a call at 800-480-2487.

Inspection: Before each use, check blades for wear, cracks, or damage; replace both blades on a spindle if one is damaged to maintain balance. Also, keep an eye out for clutch slippage and excessive wear when handling thick brush.

Greasing: Regularly grease the tailwheel hub and pivot tube. On the driveline, lubricate the PTO shaft, U-joints, and slip joints. As needed, apply grease to wing hinges to prevent excessive wear and binding.

Gearbox: Check the oil level every 25 hours of use, making sure the mower is level during inspection. Avoid overfilling to prevent seal damage.

Sharpening: Sharpen blades as needed, maintaining a 1/16-inch flat edge to balance cutting efficiency and durability.

Post-Operation Cleaning: After each use, remove grass clippings, mud, and debris from the deck and blades. Store indoors if possible to prevent excessive surface wear and/or corrosion.
