Brandt Swing Away Augers – Engineered for the Long Haul

Brandt blue augers and conveyors have been a staple on farms across North America for decades, with constant refinement over the years to maximize capacity, reduce wear points, and improve mobility. Manufactured both in Central Canada and Bloomington, Illinois, Brandt has continued to invest in the U.S. market with improved parts availability, product support, and on-site solutions. In recent years, the new generation of HP (High Performance) augers have filled a gap for low-cost, durable, and high capacity augers in 10", 13", and 16" sizes. Oversized swing flighting to feed the main tube, overall enhancements in flow, reduced resistance, and 1000 PTO support standard combine to provide unbeatable capacities with the same reliable scissor lifts, powder coat paint, and self-leveling hoppers that we love on the XL line.

Brandt Swing Away Augers – Engineered for the Long Haul

10" HP Augers

Available in 60", 70" and 80" lengths, the 1060HP, 1070HP, 1080HP are the most compact models in Brandt’s HP series, offering strong performance with minimal horsepower demand. Each uses 11" swing flighting feeding into a 10" main auger, delivering up to 7,200 bushels per hour.

Each is constructed with 13-gauge tubing, 3/16" heavy-duty extended life flighting, simplified chain coupler, easy access cleanout doors, and a 2" core with a 1-3/8" lower bearing for durability. The hopper is a low-profile 70" x 40" unit designed for clearance under most trailers, and the EZSWING system allows hydraulic or electric remote control through Brandt's controls or the new app-control system.

13" XL Augers

For producers looking for excellent value in a 13" package, the 13" XL line of augers can be a great option. With 540 PTO standard, lower horsepower requirements (generally 25 - 45 hp less than a comparable HP auger), and capacities limited to 11,000 BPH, they're designed to be a natural upgrade to a standard 13" competitor auger. Available in 1370XL, 1380XL, 1390XL, and 13110XL variants and commonly available for 10-15% less than a comparable HP model, we expect the XL series to continue to be a great choice for producers for years to come.

13" HP Augers

For larger operations, the 1370HP, 1380HP, 1390HP, and 13110HP 13" augers are fitted with upgraded swing hoppers using 14" flighting to increase capacity from up to 11,000 bph to up to 13,000 bph. Horsepower requirements are increased by 10-20% compared to an otherwise identical XL series model, so 1000 PTOs arrive standard.

With this additional capacity, the extended life auger flighting is an even more welcome standard feature, with maintenance requirements minimized throughout the auger to help keep uptime as high as possible. The same standard features seen across the line are also included here, with low-profile, self leveling hoppers, easy to access cleanouts, heavy duty scissor life that allows for improve low transport heights, low-maintenance chain couplers, and more. Paired with the optional AugerSteer hydraulic system, users can transport, setup, and handle grain much faster with less manual effort.

16" HP Augers

At the top of the lineup, the 16105HP and 16125HP offer the highest capacity of any Brandt swing-away augers, up to 23,000 bushels per hour. They're ideal for large grain operations and commercial users, as well as users with extra large bins. Currently the only 125' Brandt auger is available in a 16" diameter, though we hope to see a 13" available soon as an extension of the popular 13110.

Both models use a 16" main tube and 4" core with 1/4" Ultraflyte flighting. The driveline includes a 1000 RPM reversible gearbox and CV PTO that's built to handle the more demanding 300 and 325 hp minimum requirements easily, while the EZSwing hopper minimizes clearance issues even at max capacity.

HP vs. XL Models – What’s the Difference?

At their core, HP augers prioritize maximum capacity, using oversized swing flighting and 1000 PTOs standard to push higher volumes with greater speed. Need to tackle multiple bins or trailers back-to-back with extra horsepower to spare? Consider the HP line for incredible performance compared to the competition. However, they do come at a premium, generally a 10-15% higher retail price, and require up to 20% more horsepower compared to a comparable XL model.

XL augers are available across the Brandt line, designed to compete with traditional market offerings of 10" and 13" augers while maximizing capacities with unique flow improvements instead of more costly hoppers. They operate with lower horsepower requirements, support 540 PTOs, and are available at a noticeable discount compared to the HP line to more effectively compete with other major brands. Need rock solid performance at a great price? Consider the XL line for it's excellent standard features and high quality Brandt-backed support.
