MAS takes this mentality a step further by manufacturing their one-of-a-kind WH-82 floor chain with 9/16" pins, built to handle industrial levels of abuse over years of service.
Side by side, the difference is clear. On the left is standard 667XH floor chain, with the 88C chain to its right showing a clear improvement in durability for long-term use, frozen product, and harsh daily use. Next, we can look at the red, custom-built 82MAS chain to see just why users are so confident in it's performance. In the regular heavy loads of silage and manure handling, 82MAS can pay for itself quickly in reduced downtime and exceptional performance, while avoiding the hassle of unloading a manure spreader with broken chain.
#2 - A Ultra-High Density Floor
Traditionally, white 1/2" high density poly floors are used to provide extremely high abrasion resistance on silage and manure spreaders. This allows for simpler cleaning compared with steel floors, less overall floor chain friction, and fewer chances for corrosion.
MAS engineers saw this floor as the next major point of failure in long term applications, instead opting for 1/2" UHMW (ultra high molecular weight polyethylene) flooring, easily identified by its black color. This extremely dense material is handles heavy loads more easily, reducing the damage that foreign materials or abnormally dense loads can cause. As a result, failure rates can be reduced while extending the life and resale value of the trailer as a whole.
